There was a guy who lived in the mountains, he had to use a pole hanging two buckets by each end to carry water home from the river everyday.
One of the buckets started leaking, he still continued to use it. Because it was half a mile away from the river to his home, so the leaking bucket only had half water left when he got home.
The leaking bucket felt guilty for couldn’t completing the job everyday. But the intact one felt so proud of itself.
The guilty feeling bothered the leaking bucket for about two years. One day, he decided to talk to the guy.
The bucket said: I am so sorry.
The guy was shocked: why? What’s wrong?
The bucket answered: for the past two years, because of me, you can’t carry two buckets of water home, I felt guilty about that.
The guy said: don’t be sorry, have you noticed the trail leads to our home is full with flowers, that’s because of you, you watered them, I enjoy getting water home, because walking by those beautiful flowers makes me happy.
When the leaking bucket dropped the guilty feeling, he finally noticed there were lots of beautiful flowers by the trail.
